Why LaunchPad
The conditions of home shape the possibilities of life.
Housing, health, education, employment, childcare, transportation, food, belonging and opportunity are not separate problems. They are interconnected conditions. When one is missing, the others become harder to reach.
LaunchPad was shaped by this understanding — influenced by Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs and reflected in the Inland Empire Vital Conditions framework, a community-developed tool for understanding what people need to thrive. LaunchPad's model is informed by this framework and does not imply endorsement by its authors or stewards.
The Vital Conditions framework identifies seven interconnected conditions that communities need to thrive. LaunchPad Baseline is designed to address all seven within a single development. The framework is attributed to its original authors and community stewards; LaunchPad's use does not imply their endorsement.
