The LaunchPad Model
The Collective Is the Model
LaunchPad is not a housing project with services attached. It is a professionally developed, human-centered model built around what people need to thrive — designed from the ground up to connect housing, opportunity, and community in one place.
The model brings together professionals in real estate, development, finance, education, healthcare, workforce, childcare, food systems, and entrepreneurship. Professional execution, accountability, and partnership make the ecosystem possible.
Attainable Housing
48 homes designed for families, transition-age youth, women veterans with children, and low-income working residents. Modular construction supports cost efficiency and quality.
Employment Social Enterprise (ESE)
LaunchPad will create an ESE centered initially on a commercial kitchen. The ESE may include prepackaged meals, workforce training, paid experience, certifications, and participation by local small businesses. The goal is earned revenue and at least operational break-even.
Education & Workforce Training
LaunchPad works with San Bernardino Community College District and AdE around the kitchen, education, and workforce training. Residents can access learning pathways on-site.
Childcare & Youth Development
LaunchPad's relationship with the YMCA is part of childcare, youth development, and childcare-provider training — enabling parents to participate in education and employment while their children are supported.
Health & Wellness
Health is integrated into the model — not as a separate service, but as a condition addressed through stable housing, food access, clean design, and community belonging.
Sustainable Design
Solar and battery systems, all-electric design, no conventional on-site resident parking, e-bike sharing, and a commercial kitchen. Sustainability is a strategy to control long-term operating expenses.
Entrepreneurship & Local Business
Approximately 6,000 sq ft of commercial and community space provides affordable space for local entrepreneurs, small businesses, and community-serving uses.
Transportation & Mobility
Reduced parking is achieved through land efficiency, affordability, accessibility, transit access, and a complete mobility plan including e-bike sharing.
LaunchPad connects an attainable home to a pathway. Education leads to experience. Experience leads to credentials, employment or entrepreneurship. Childcare helps families participate. Sustainable design helps control costs. Professional partners make the ecosystem possible.
The result is more than housing. It is infrastructure for economic mobility.
