Robert Carrillo is the founder and visionary behind The LaunchPad Collective, where he brings together decades of experience across real estate, education, health, youth development, nonprofit governance, and community investment. His professional journey has never followed a single lane. Robert has worked in real estate, taught bilingual special education, studied occupational wellness, and coached young people through critical stages of their development. He's also spent more than 16 years serving on the board of a Federally Qualified Health Center, including over a decade as Treasurer and Finance Chair. Through six cohorts of his real estate internship program, he has helped young people gain practical experience, industry exposure, and pathways into the field. Across these roles, Robert repeatedly encountered the same truth: housing, health, education, employment, mobility, and belonging cannot be separated. A stable home creates a foundation, but lasting opportunity requires an ecosystem around it. LaunchPad is Robert’s response to that reality. His vision is not simply to construct buildings, but to change the conditions that determine whether people and communities can thrive. “We are not asking young people to leave their communities to find opportunity. We are changing the conditions of their communities so opportunity can exist at home.”

Yvette Romero is Mexican-Filipina, born in Long Beach and rooted in the Inland Empire since the 1990s. After raising her son in Riverside, she moved to San Bernardino in 2021, deepening her commitment to the community she now serves. She is currently pursuing a degree in Public Health at California Baptist University, expanding her understanding of housing as a key determinant of health.

Yvette brings more than two decades of healthcare experience to mission-driven real estate development. As a former nurse, she witnessed how housing instability directly affects health outcomes, particularly in marginalized communities. That frontline experience informs her belief that thoughtfully designed real estate can advance healing, equity, and generational change.

Yvette leads deal coordination and internal operations across LaunchPad developments, helping move projects from vision to execution while keeping community impact at the center.

Ruben Mendoza is an Inland Empire native who brings experience in homeless services, housing advocacy, and public policy to his role as Housing and Economic Analyst for The LaunchPad Collective.

Ruben began his career serving unhoused populations in San Bernardino and Los Angeles counties, gaining firsthand knowledge of the institutional systems that can perpetuate housing instability and intergenerational poverty. He later participated in local, state, and national policy-development coalitions working to expand equitable housing opportunities.

Recognizing that policy reform and immediate action must work together, Ruben joined LaunchPad Collective to help develop practical, community-rooted solutions to systemic challenges.
